
Darülaceze Social Service City is Being Established
The Darülaceze Social Service City, which is being constructed in Arnavutköy, Istanbul under the Ministry of Family and Social Services, will be a special social service city, which is one of the few in the world, where all kinds of needs will be met for Hospice residents and children under protection. The Social Service City will be realized by preserving the mission of Darülaceze, which has been serving those in need since 1895.
The Darülaceze Social Service City project, which was prepared to carry the historical and social heritage of Darülaceze to future generations, was designed with the principle of horizontal architecture on 150 thousand square meters in Yassıören Neighborhood.
Darülaceze Social Service City, where work is ongoing, will consist of 23 blocks with a capacity of approximately one thousand beds. The rooms in the complex are designed as single, double, triple and quadruple rooms.
The 320-person capacity healthy elderly unit, 274-person capacity bed-dependent elderly unit, 154-person capacity Alzheimer's and dementia unit and 180-person capacity donor unit will be located in the complex, which will also include an outpatient clinic for health checks, a kindergarten, rehabilitation and social center, workshops and a 500-seat conference hall.
In the Darülaceze Social Service City, where fitness, physical therapy centers and a Turkish bath will be located in the social center, walking paths, bicycle paths, ponds, hobby gardens will be organized in the landscape area. Transportation within the campus will be provided by electric vehicles.
