Milli Irade Park is Being Opened

As per the instructions of Başiskele Mayor, Hüseyin Ayaz, Başiskele Municipality Directorate of Parks and Gardens rolled up its sleeves for a unique park project in Yeşilyurt Neighborhood. In the park, which was completed in a short time, a representational mausoleum was built by planting a cypress tree on behalf of our 249 heroic martyrs, and this was designed to form the crescent of the Turkish flag when viewed from the sky.

Likewise, with the star shape in front of the crescent, the museum of the history of the Coups was built and information and newspaper clippings, short film shows will take place, especially the July 15 Coup Attempt, 1980 and 1960 coups, 1971 Memorandum, 1997 Post Modern Coup. This building will tell many students from the surrounding provinces, especially Başiskele, about the coups from generation to generation.

At the same time, there are representational visuals describing that night in the park. These include Şerif Boz, who came to fight the coup attempt with his truck, the struggle of the martyrs that gave its name to the July 15 Martyrs Bridge with tanks and the visuals of the bombed Grand National Assembly building.

The July 15 National Will Park, which Başiskele Municipality built at Başiskele Yeşilyurt Neighborhood 17 August Boulevard in memory of those who were martyred to defend Türkiye’s independence in the treacherous coup attempt on the night of July 15, 2016, will be opened on Friday, July 28 at 15:00. At the opening, Ali Tel, the world Quran recitation winner, will recite the Quran on behalf of all our martyrs, and Ömer Karaloğlu will enchant the hearts of all participants with a hymn concert. Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Işık, Minister of National Education Dr. İsmet Yılmaz, Kocaeli MPs, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu, provincial and district protocols will fully participate in the opening, which is expected to be attended by the entire Kocaeli public.
